Re: problems with compilation



I've been telling people to compile under 4.0 using
	setenv SGI_CC -cckr -common

since we haven't adapted to the finicky 4.0 ANSI C compiler yet.
The -cckr implies Kernighan & Ritchie C rather than ANSI C;
the -common permits multiple modules to define global symbols without
"multiply defined" linker warnings.

Some library modules compile differently with -cckr than with ANSI;
if you get undefined symbols when linking geomview, it means you'll
need to recompile at least the affected modules.  I've got a list somewhere...
