VECTs vs. polygon edges

Note that, by default, you *do* see VECTs and *don't* see polygon's edges.
VECTs are hidden only if you've forced edges not to be drawn -- this was a
special hack for people who wanted conditionally-visible VECTs.
So Don't Panic.

In case you turn polygon edges on and wish to turn them off without also
hiding VECTs, you can hit the Appearance panel's "Revert" button, or use
the keyboard shortcut "ax".

Explanation: with things set up as they are now, there are effectively four
possible settings for each feature on the Appearance panel: "forced on",
"forced off", "on by default", "off by default".

Unfortunately there's no visible distinction between "forced on/off" and
"default on/off". The button status reflects the setting, but doesn't say
whether it's forced to be that way or not. Once you've pressed a button,
its setting will be "forced" henceforth. The only way to restore "default"
behavior is to use "ax"/Revert, which resets *all* appearance-related switches
to their non-forced defaults.
