bad news. it's been packed up incorrectly: it uses our .geomview file instead of .geomview-dist. i'm surprised we haven't gotten any mail about it: i just found this out because i'm at the CS dept graphics lab at berkeley for the afternoon. Daeron: animate-bin.tar.Z contains Stuart's shell script not your version! about packing up modules: 1. they should edit the $GEOMROOT/data/.geomview file automatically to place themselves on the browser list. The unsuspecting installer should not have to understand the .geomview setup. This probably means the installer will have to run a shell sed script after untarring the binary version. it can just go into the makefile in the source version. 2. *Test* unpacking both the binary and the source and also make sure they both run correctly from the geomview applications browser! More ranting later. There are some *great* data files and programs we can use here! Tamara
