I'm puzzled by this.  Could you please check the lib/sgi directory
to see whether libforms.a is there?  By the time any programs using
the libraries are compiled, there should be a couple dozen files in lib/sgi,
including libforms.a.  I'm curious at what point this process broke down --
were none of the libraries compiled, or did something odd happen just to
the forms directory?

In case only the FORMS installation went awry, you can work around this
by just copying the file:
	cp  src/lib/libforms.a  lib/sgi/libforms.a
and re-make'ing (or pmake'ing).  If none of the libraries were created,
you could try
	(cd src/lib; pmake)
	(cd src/bin; pmake)
to force the libraries to be compiled before any of the programs are.
