Note -- the best place to mail notes about geomview is "software" rather than
"techstaff".

I didn't understand this and asked Dennis -- effectively clicking on the
window *border* isn't enough to make geomview accept keyboard input, but
clicking inside the window (in the View itself) is.

Note that typing something like "g1" alone doesn't select g1; it's
just a prefix for another command.  (Note that if both "g1" and "g10"
existed, geomview would have to guess whether more were coming.)

A complete keyboard command is something like "g1t" or "g1dd",
each of which selects the object, then operates on it.  The "p" command
is a way to simply select an object, as in "g1p".
