"No graphics" is a pretty strange error. Were you logged onto the console of the Iris when you ran geomview? What kind of system do you have (e.g. what version of the software is it running)? Run "uname -a" to find out. We've used geomview on systems from 3.3 through 4.0.5; I'm not sure what will happen if you're running Irix 3.2, for example. > From madkat at cs.umbc.edu Fri Apr 9 11:13:54 1993 > From: Madhu Subbacharya <madkat at cs.umbc.edu> > Subject: Geomview installation problem > To: slevy at geom > Date: Fri, 9 Apr 1993 12:13:50 -0500 (EDT) > Cc: madkat at cs.umbc.edu (Madhu Subbacharya) > > Dr. Lomonaco at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) > asked me to contact you if I had any problems with installing `geomview'. > I have changed the GEOMROOT path to the correct path for my system. > But, when I run geomview, I get the following error : > > winopen: Error no graphics. > > Am I doing something wrong, or have I forgotten to set something ? > I would appreciate it if you could send me mail about how to fix it.
