[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] info on GeomView
Actually, degenerate OFF objects are now handled more gracefully so the CNOFF object might do what you want. A one-vertex face is considered legitimate, so the normal is drawn when requested. Make sure that smooth shading is on so the per-vertex normal you supply is drawn, not the possibly bogus per-face normal computed by geomview. When the linewidth is greater than 1, fatpoints are drawn (i.e. a disc which always faces the camera, whose radius is determined by the linewidth setting). Thus you can actually see the color of the point, which is very difficult when it's drawn as a single pixel. Note that these improvements are only in the new version, which will be out shortly. The old version does not draw normals or use fatpoints for one-vertex faces. So, a file like the one below will do the right thing in the new version. Note that you can also set the appearance though the geomview Appearance panel or with a "merge-baseap" command in your .geomview file.
