[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Geomview, NeXT version
Hi, I have been playing around with the NeXT version of Geomview for a while, and I like the program very much. We will very likely use it in our lab to visualize molecular surfaces and other aspects of proteins. I mainly write to express my support, but I also have one small question. If I load more than one object in, and I use the appearence panel to color them in different colors, as soon as I switch the target back to "world", the colors disappear and everything is colored in world color. There seems to be no way to set the target to "world" without destroying the appearance of the subobjects. That is a major nuisance. Did I miss something? I will let you know when we start using the program for serious work, and explain what we are doing and send some pictures. It can take a little time, though. Keep up the good work, Andreas Windemuth +-------------------------------------------------------------------- |Columbia University, Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics |630 West 168th St. BB-221 | tel: (212)-305-6884, fax: 6926, NeXTmail |New York, NY 10032 | email: windemut at cumbnd.bioc.columbia.edu +--------------------------------------------------------------------
