Re: A Problem with Geomview

This does sound pretty strange. The only thing that comes to mind re bizarre
coloring is the gamma setting for the troublesome Indigo. We have one such
machine with 8-bit graphics, and once tried changing its "gamma" setting
(/usr/sbin/gamma, setting stored in /etc/config/system.glGammaVal).
It's normally 1.7; changing it to (say) 1.2 dramatically shifted the colors.
I admit this seems an unlikely explanation.

Tests that might narrow the problem down:
  - When you resize the graphics window, does the mis-coloring persist?
  - Try typing "vs" with the cursor in the graphics window. This toggles
between the normal double-buffered graphics (in which case you get
an image dithered into a 4-bit colormap) and single-buffering
(where you'll see the image being erased and redrawn, but it has an
8-bit colormap available). How does this compare with the normal view?

   Stuart
