> I'm having trouble with Example2 from Chapter 6.3 of the Geomview manual. > I think I don't have the lib/sgi stuff the compiler needs. (I think > my C compiler is OK). Here is the error message I got: > > /usr/people/wmg/torus>>make example2 > cc -I/usr/local/geomview-1.4/Geomview/include -o example2 example2.c \ > -L/usr/local/geomview-1.4/Geomview/lib/sgi -lforms -lfm_s -lgl_s -lm > Couldn't load Shell: No such file or directory Bill, I don't understand the "Couldn't load Shell" error message at all, but I just tried the above command on sofya and got a different error message --- one about the FORMS library (file "libforms.a") not being present. You need that in order to do the above example; it comes with the Geomview source distribution, but not the binary distribution, which is what you have. I just put a copy of libforms.a in our ftp directory; you can grap it either as file "/u/ftp/priv/mbp/libforms.a" if you login as wmg, or as file "priv/mbp/libforms.a" if you use anonymous ftp. After putting a copy of libforms.a in your /usr/local/geomview-1.4/Geomview/lib/sgi, try the above again and let me know what happens. --Mark
