[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] To the software designers
First and foremost, I would like to thank the authors of Geomview for a fantastic product which is giving us much satisfaction here at the biophysical department of Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia. We are coupling its capabilities with the tesselation routines of NUAGES, giving us excellent 3-d visualization of internal organs of the upper torso. Our research requires this to help us understand and analyze cardiac defects and complications through body surface potential mapping (BSPM). Your package permits us to view the results of our 3-d digitization very nicely. The one question I had was: is it possible to vary the transparency of an object? You see, ideally we would like to digitize the lungs, heart, and torso wall, and display all three simultaneously. Obviously, the torso wall would have to be somewhat transparent so that we could see the internal organs. Is this possible? Will I be running into complications when I start dealing with several objects in one Camera window? I already notice that things are a bit slow when I deal with a 200K *.off file. Looking forward to hearing from you, Steve Franklin Department of Biophysics, Dalhousie University franklin at ug.cs.dal.ca --
