[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Geomview-Bug???
Dear geomview-authors, in March, I have written two e-mails to register at geom.umn.edu as well as to software@geom.umn.edu regarding a problem with geomview on the SGI. Until today, there has been no answer. Today, we have downloaded geomview 1.4.2, binary distribution for SGI, from geom.umn.edu. We have Indigos R3000 and R4000 running IRIX 4.0.5 H. Also with the new version (used as a display front-end for Brakke's Surface evolver) there is the same serious problem with the display: Color changes have very little effect; ovjects are always shown in a transparent, pale purple. We have successfully used geomview 1.3.1, where this problem has not appeared. (Unfortunately, geomview 1.3.1 is very liberal with X (not using it) and not usable on a remote host - just popping up remotely without window borders...) What are we doing wrong???? Please answer!
