[ REQ 5033]: compiler warnings

Dear Geometry Center,

recently i tried to compile your 'Geomview' on a Silicon Graphics, using x11
(from distribution file geomview-src.x11-beta.tar, version 1.4.3) instead of
GL. The reason for this peculiar setup is that i'd like to use it on
terminals that only know X, not GL. I defined CPU as 'unknown', and MACHTYPE
x11. It turned out that i had to #undefine sgi. Using gcc, it compiled
completely, though not fully cleanly. I append a list of compiler warnings
that do not seam totally innocent. Hope this helps, kind regards,
