[ REQ 5186]: Irix W3Kit

Hi, i was trying to install the 
W3 kit for an SGI (indigo) running Irix 5.2 
( using an UNPATCHED version of gcc-2.6.3 )

i seem to have a small problem compiling the
dotty.m  example. 

Perhaps this is a simple error?

During the linking, the loader says that

w3post_read  and  w3post_free

could not be found. 

(1) should  these be seen if i 
do a table of contents on  libW3kit.a ? ( they are not in there )

(2) could this be related to the fact that the patch
   you supply for gcc-2.6.3 does not seem to work, 
   ( i.e. patch complains about the file and fails to change any .h files 
    in the gcc
