[ REQ 5230]: geomview help

I am studying at the ITESM university at Mexico City.  
We found the information about the Geometry Center, 
in particular WebOOGl and found it very interesting.

I am trying to install Geomview as a project of this
university.  I have already download the file *.tar.Z. 
(SGI version), uncompressed it, but when I try to unpack 
it (tar -xvf) a message of block size error appears.

I am not certain if the problem is with the machine 
I am working on, with the tar command, or with the 
file itself.  Do you have any ideas that can help me?
