Hi Vincent,

  The problem you are experiencing might be because you are running
Solaris (SunOS 5.2) instead of SunOS 4.1.3 which is what the sun4
version of Geomview was compiled under. Theoretically sun4 binaries
should work in compatibility mode under Solaris but in practice they
sometimes don't. You could either grab the source code from ftp.geom.umn.edu
(/pub/software/geomview/geomview-1.5.0-src.tar.Z) and try compiling
it for yourself under Solaris, or you could wait for us to come out
with a Solaris distribution. Also, if you are using OpenWindows, you
might want to try the OpenWindows patch and see if that fixes it:
(/pub/software/geomview/geomview-1.5.0-sun4-patch1.tar.Z). That bad
system call might be in the X11 libraries.
