LessTif currently does not support enough Motif calls to complete Geomview. Perhaps that will become a possibility in the future. > We are currently only using Linux on the Intel platforms because > it seems to be the most popular and well supported free unix. So far you're the only > one who has requested a *BSD binary. I think it is mostly a matter of letting BSD folks in the academic world know about it (which I presume is the main market for Geomview). Another matter is that BSD'ers typically aren't as rabid as Linux people. ;-) A single BSD-made Geomview has the advantage of being binary-compatible across FreeBSD, NetBSD and commercial BSD/OS. I grabbed the sources and other than the missing Motif symbols, the rest of the code compiled rather cleanly, which makes me even more anxious for a BSD version. :) Do you prefer to keep your development internal to your group, or are you open to outside help for porting. I might be able to drum up a few programmers who would be willing to help out with this. -- Brian ("Though this be madness, yet there is method in't") Tao taob at gate.sinica.edu.tw <-- work ........ play --> taob at io.org
