Grid based data with per grid vertex coloring can be achieved using the CMESH data file format. Any contour or boundary lines you compute can be superimposed by loading them from a separate file after you've already loaded in your surface. Or, you could store the boundary information in the same file as the surface date (using the LIST file format). Once you've computed the data you want to visualize, you can use Geomview to interact with and view your surfaces from any perspective. Read the manual included with the distribution for a more detailed description of capabilites. Hope this helps, Daeron Meyer daeron at geom.umn.edu
