Well, we've just started porting the SGI version to OpenGL, which is 
available on Windows machines. We don't have many resources to devote
to this, so it might be a while...

OOGL is ours, it incorporates some community-defined formats like OFF.
See http://vrml.wired.com/ for information on the emerging VRML
standard. (VRML also allows you to attach Web-style hyperlinks to 3D
objects, but also will be a useful 3D interchange format.)

It's possible but not optimal.
