[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [ REQ 5399]: solaris2.2
I'm trying to install geomview on my Sun Sparc10 running Solaris 2.2 and am having no luck at all. I've spent hours upon hours trying to get the software to compile but it keeps getting hung because it cannot find some of the include files (i.e. X11/Intrinsic.h, Xm/Xm.h ...). This is understandable b/c I can't find these files anywhere myself. The mk.solaris file isn't even close to being correct: the directory /usr/local doesn't exist in Solaris, OpenWindows 3.2 is standard for Solaris 2.2 so I don't know why the SYSCOPTS has a setting with /usr/local/Motif1.2.2/include -- I tried changing this to /usr/openwin/include but apparently all the needed files aren't in there either. I've done about all I know how and have never had this much trouble installing software before. I would be greatly indebted if you could provide more instruction as to setting these options and directories correctly for Solaris 2.2. Thank you very much, Mike Thompson Northwestern University e-mail: mike at red-rock.ms.nwu.edu
