Try using the following lines in mk.solaris: SYSCOPTS = -DSVR4 -I/usr/openwin/include/X11 -I/usr/local/Motif1.2.2/include SYSLIBS = -L/usr/lib -L/usr/openwin/lib -lnsl -lsocket -lgen -ldl > The mk.solaris file isn't even close to being correct: the > directory /usr/local doesn't exist in Solaris, OpenWindows > 3.2 is standard for Solaris 2.2 so I don't know why the > SYSCOPTS has a setting with /usr/local/Motif1.2.2/include -- I tried > changing this to /usr/openwin/include but apparently all the > needed files aren't in there either. X-Geomview needs the Motif user interface libararies. OSF/Motif is a commercial product. Check with your sysadmin to see if you have it installed. If it is, just put its location in the SYSCOPTS and SYSLIBS definitions. If you don't have Motif, then your best bet is to try the binary distribution of Geomview for SunOS. It runs under Solaris, albeit with a few bugs. You can get it from http://www/software/download/geomview.html -- Tim Rowley -- trowley at geom.umn.edu -- "Do or do not, there is no try."
