This either means:
   the "DISPLAY" environment variable wasn't set to point to an Iris display,
   or the Iris it was using didn't have the Display Postscript software
   installed.

Assuming you are using an Iris display, try running the "versions" command,
which lists installed software components.   You'll need to see "dps_eoe"
and also I think "x_eoe.sw.xdps".  If you can get them installed (maybe
from the distribution CD-ROM), do that.  Otherwise you're probably stuck
with using the vector fonts.
