[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: [Closed REQ 5489]: Installing geomview...
Hmm. So apparently "sed" is returning an error -- it doesn't seem to do that on our machines, but we have no RS/6000 here. It's probably a harmless error. You could evade it by editing src/bin/geomutil/maple2oogl/Makefile and changing the occurrences of "sed" (on lines 70, 78, 85) to read "-sed". The leading "-" tells "make" to ignore errors reported by that command. Take care, though. If you don't actually have maple (commercial software, from Waterloo Maple Software, Inc.), the maple2oogl installation won't work, since it needs to invoke maple as part of the installation process. But then again, if you don't have maple, there's no point in installing the maple2oogl package, whose only reason for existence is to make maple-created graphics visible in geomview. So, if you have no copy of maple, simply don't set the MAPLE_LIB variable in makefiles/mk.site.default.
