[ REQ 5506]: hierarchies

Good Morning!

I have recently been introduced to Geomview in order to see whether or
not it would be suitable for a certain project. It's part of my summer
research project ( I'm a student at the University of Tennessee -
Knoxville).

Since I've only been using Geomview for about two weeks, I have a
couple of questions that I can't seem to find answers to in the manual
(or maybe I don't know what to look for).

For example, with a .LIST file containing a hierarchy of geom's, is it
possible to concentrate on one geom, e.g. translate that geom only
without translating the whole thing? I've tried to do so, but I
haven't succeeded.

I also have a question with coordinate systems. I haven't been able
to figure out how to have different origins for geom's. For example,
if I wanted to construct a cube with the origin not in the center of
the Camera screen/world, how would I go about doing so?

I would really appreciate some help, albeit from you, the "authors",
or from references to the manual.

			Thanks!

Margie Razek
