[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [ REQ 5517]: Display question
Hi I have been using Geomview to display hollow extrusions. I use the .off format to diplay various faces. When the extrusion is bent, however, the faces in the bent segments become conic surfaces. When I use the .off format to specify the vertices at the beginning and end of a bent segment, these (the vertices) are joined by straight lines only, thereby giving me planar faces instead of conics. So my question is: What would be the best way to display such parts, which have lets say, alternating straight and bent segments, so that the bent segments can be displayed accurately? A further extension to this question is: What is the most general way to represent any surface, i.e. a general swept surface for example? Also, do you maintain any FAQ list or some such thing, so that I don't have to bother you every time I have a question? Thanks a lot. Really appreciate your help. Shailendra Gupta
