[ REQ 5567]: Error in installation of geomview on a sun4

I hope there is a quick answer to the following.

I have just unpacked Geomview version 1.5 and put it in
the directory /u/cryer/Geomview-1.5/u/cryer/Geomview-1.5

It runs O.K. in the Geomroot directory. But after using the
install script, I get the following error message on
typing geomview in another directory:

/u/cryer/Geomview-1.5/Geomview/bin/sun4/geomview:
 /work0/daeron/geomview.build/Geomview/bin/sun4/gvx: not found
 
Could part of the problem be, that I have put the executable
files in the subdirectory 
/u/cryer/Geomview-1.5 and not in /usr/local/bin ?
