Ah.  Our SGI geomview executables were all compiled for Irix 4;
apparently Irix 4 GL programs just can't run under Irix 6.
You can grab versions of the same programs, recompiled under
Irix 5; these should work for you.   Please pick up from geom.umn.edu

   priv/slevy/Geomview-irix5.tar.gz

and extract it with
   gzip -d -c <Geomview-irix5.tar.gz | tar xvfo -
from the parent directory of that in which geomview is installed,
e.g. from /usr/local if you'd installed it under /usr/local/Geomview.
It will overwrite Geomview/bin/sgi/gvx and various Geomview/modules/sgi/*
files.

Alternatively, you could get the geomview source distribution and compile it;
that should also work.
