I don't think we've seen that message.  Could you say something
about the kind of machine you're running on (presumably an Iris,
so please send the output of "hinv") and the operating system version
(from "uname -a")?

And, does Geomview fail this way as soon as you start it, or does this
happen after you've been running it for a while?
