Depending on the version of X on that NeXT, you may be able to make it work
anyway.  In Co-Xist (and probably other implementations), there's a
Preferences item allowing you to specify the type of X visual it should
offer.  You could try e.g. 8-bit pseudo-color, or 1-bit monochrome.
You need to quit & restart X after making this change.  I've actually
used geomview this way from my next, though it's quite slow.


Given the scarcity of 2-bit-deep displays in the world, I think it's unlikely
we'll add support for them to geomview.
