[ REQ 5729]: running some modules

I seem to have some strangness in my mail configuration files.
I hope I have corrected this and this message is a test of this

I sent a letter yesterday and got an automatically returned message:

Date: Mon, 29 Jan 1996 17:40:15 -0600 (CST)
From: Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON at geom.umn.edu>
Subject: Returned mail: User unknown
To: roseman at dimension4.math.uiowa.edu
Auto-Submitted: auto-generated (failure)

The original message was received at Mon, 29 Jan 1996 17:39:46 -0600
(CST)
from daemon at localhost

----- The following addresses have delivery notifications -----
roseman at ns-mx.uiowa.edu (unrecoverable error)
software-admin at geom.umn.edu (expanded by alias)

ETC ETC ETC

********* for the record, in case the first message did not get
through, here is the original question*********************

Begin forwarded message:

Date: Mon, 29 Jan 96 17:40:02 -0600
From: Dennis Roseman <roseman>
To: software@geom.umn.edu
Subject: running some modules

I am trying to run some modules in geomview on my SGI:
4dview and smoothcolor .

I get the following error messages on the console (and modules die)

roseman at spindr [101]% Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
IrisGL: ERROR #106 Couldn't connect to display ":0.0":
ERR_NOWINDOWSERVER
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
IrisGL: ERROR #106 Couldn't connect to display ":0.0":
ERR_NOWINDOWSERVER

It has been a while since I down loaded and installed geomview so I
don't recall what I did.

Have I done something wrong in this, or do I have so other problem
with how my machine is set up ?

Dennis
