[ REQ 5756]: Problem compiling libraries

HI

  I wrote to you last week inquiring about what is needed to
compile the examples supplied with Geomview. I followed the
instructions and downloaded the source and compiled the
libraries. (I assume that after setting all the needed
global variables and CPU type etc... that all that's needed to be
done is to run the make file in the lib directory. Everything
appeared to go fine.)

  When I try to compile example3.c with the -g option I get the
following error:

ld: Output file requires shared library 'libc.so.4'

I believe that this library is a linux or X library but I'm not
sure(I'm sort of new to the linux environment).

Compiling without the -g option reveales the functions wich are not
linking:

glibglue.o(    ):undefined reference to 'streammarker::~streammarker(void)'
   "               "          "       "
                'streammarker::streammark(streamarker&, int)'

so on and so fourth naming a few other streammarker member functions.

I assume this is a problem with my Geomview libraries not linking
properly.

Any assistance in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
(I realize it's difficult debugging longdistance, sorry!)

Thanks,
Gilles Beauparlant
