There is a newer beta version of Geomview that you could try.  To
use it, don't delete your current Geomview directory tree. Just
ftp to ftp.geom.umn.edu and grab:

	/priv/daeron/bin/gvx.linux.gz

After unzipping it, use this file to replace your currently
installed gvx binary. This was compiled and linked against later
versions of the libraries, so hopefully it will solve your
problem.
