[ REQ 5764]: Defining my own lisp functions

Hello

I seem to be having a problem defining my own lisp function
in Geomview. If someone could help me out it would be greatly
appreciated.

As I said I am trying to write my own lisp function in order to
be able to modify a geom in a way which is not already provided in
Geomview. When I started running in to problems I attempted to
implement the example lisp function described in the man pages
under lisp. This would be the f function wich simply returns a
string representing the sum of the two arguments. I pretty much
entered everything as described in the man pages except for
putting the main body in a main funtion(It compiles and links
and all that stuff). I then entered the program as an external
modules to Geomview.

I am not quite sure if this is supposed to do what I
whant it to do. I thaught that with the program running (ie:the
above mentioned external modules), I could simply call the
function from the "Command" window. I tried this with (f 2 3.4)
say but I get an unknown function f in my shell window.
As I said, I'm not sure if this is the proper way to use user
defined lisp function. If not, could you please
clarify the proper use of such a function for me. If this is
the way to use it, is there anything else I would have to add
to the man page code to get this to work properly.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

I thank you in advance,
Gilles Beauparlant
