Sir, I have been using Geomview for a few months, doing my best to render satellites on the screen with it. I make a great use of objects (Geom, Camera, Appearance, Material, LtLight) and all the methods provided to manipulate them (including mg routines). My code has to run on several operating systems, including Sgi, Hp, Sun, Solaris, Dec Alpha OSF, Dec Ultrix, Windows NT and other old ones. For the moment, I have to cope with 2 problems. 1/ On SGI machine. Will Geomview take advantages of OpenGL instead of old IrisGL soon ? 2/ On Dec Alpha OSF machine. I meet a 'floating exception' with an 'mg' routine (Xmgr_8DZline), while rotating an object (90 degres, rotation of any type). The error does not occur on other operating systems. Would Alpha OSF machines be special with their 64 bits characteristic ? Here is very little part of the code : Transform t; Geom *object = GeomCreate("polylist",...,CR_END); TmIdentity(t); TmRotateY(t, M_PI/2.0); GeomSet(object,CR_AXIS,t,CR_END); mgworldbegin(); GeomDraw(object); mgworlend(); Thanks a lot.
