Yes and no.  The current general release (geomview 1.5) won't, as you've
probably found.  You can get an SGI binary, with sample data files and
documentation, for the next release of geomview which does support some
texture mapping, by anonymous FTP to geom.umn.edu.  Retrieve the file
   priv/slevy/gv-texture.tar.gz

At present this only supports texture mapping for MESHes
(rectangularly-connected ones) and not for OFFs.  You could represent each triangle as a separate 2x2-vertex MESH, with two of its
vertices coincident, though this would be pretty inefficient.  I'd still
like to

Both are supported in the next release.  The SGI binary in the
gv-texture.tar.gz file uses Open GL.

Maybe, though it's probably easier if we do it.  It shouldn't take us long.
