There's a later version of geomview, in which the bug you found is fixed,
available for FTP from geom.umn.edu as
   priv/slevy/gvx-hpux-16b5.gz

This is just a compressed ``.../Geomview/bin/x11/gvx'' executable, not a
tar package.  To use it, say
	gzip -d gvx-hpux-16b5.gz
	mv gvx-hpux-16b5 .../Geomview/bin/x11/gvx
replacing "..." with wherever you'd installed the Geomview distribution.

This should work under both HP-UX 9.x and 10.x.
