[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [ REQ 6012]: Unanswered problems with WebOOGL installation on Troubleshooting page.
Hi, I am hoping you can help me a problem which occurs when trying to look at some of the "Simple Demo: Linked WebOOGL/VRML Worlds". First let me say I am running this on a SunOs 4.x, having downloaded Geomview - geoview-sun4.tar.gz. I then installed WebOOGL, having ensured that the "gvx" binary in Geomview was overwritten with the so called 1.5.1 (by the way this is only identified as "Geomview 1.5" on the Geomview window, as opposed to "X-Geomview" and in both instances the credits list this to be 1.5). I ensure correct form of the script "geomview" is installed. This script works, as I am able to rifle through some of the data examples which arrive with Geomview. I thne ensure my .mime.types and .mailcap files have correct tags such as: # VRML related from Geomview and weboogl installation. # in order to provide 3D files. x-world/x-vrml wrl object/x-oogl oogl off list tlist grp quad mesh inst bez vect and # Test drive weboogl (TKP 10/18/96) object/x-oogl; to-weboogl.perl %s oogl -URL %u x-world/x-vrml; to-weboogl.perl %s vrml -URL %u respectively. However, when I try to browse a ".wrl" link from Netscape 3.0 then I get the following message: sh: /usr/local2/bin/math/to-weboogl.perl: Not a directory I am not clear where the path /usr/local2/bin/math/ is being defined as I looked for this in the various perl scripts yet to no avail. Certainly nothing in installation relating to this either. So whats up ? Tarang Tarang Kumar Patel.
