Hi, did you see my note of last week in response to the one you'd
sent to register at geom.umn.edu?  Did you try the geomview-161b3-src.tar.gz
package?   If you got it, I'd think first to try setting CPU
(in .../Geomview/makefiles/Makedefs.global) to "solaris", and using
the existing Solaris configuration file.  In case you somehow
didn't get it, that note read:

A better place to send this sort of question would be to software@geom.umn.edu,
but here's an answer anyway.  There's a pre-release source distribution
for the next version of geomview available for FTP from geom.umn.edu as

   priv/slevy/geomview-161b3-src.tar.gz

No one's tried it for Solaris on the x86's, so you'll be a guinea pig,
but it's noticeably more portable than the last regular geomview 1.5 source.
If you try it, please let us know how it goes.
