No -- geomview by default tries to use a fast "shared memory"
connection to the local display.  If that doesn't work --
either because the display isn't local (as on an X terminal,
or if you're running geomview on one machine and displaying
on another, or if the X display server just doesn't support
shared memory) then you get this error.   It doesn't matter
how much memory you have.  It's harmless, just indicates that
things will be slower than they might have been.
