[ REQ 6073]: geomviev pick on DEC Alpha

I have been playing with Geomviewon a DEC Alpha, and using Nose,
when I right-double click on anything, I get the following:

Unaligned access pid=9782 <gvx> va=0x140255e1c pc=0x1200c1e48
ra=0x1200c0a20 inst=0xa54a0000

I suspect it must be due to the 64 bit nature of the Alpha. Should
one use the -taso flag?
