[ REQ 6091]: [Help] WebOOGL and use of libwww-perl-0.4 and Perl4 vs use of Perl5

Hi,

 Seeing that libwww-perl were not able to help with this I wonder if
 you are able to assist in any way.

 [Q] Has anyone modified the perl scripts of WebOOGL to make use of
     libwww-5.03 ?

  Really has it been modified to make use of Perl5 is the question, if so then
 what replaced the libwww-perl-0.4 ?

 Many thanks for any pointers that will allow me to resolve this problem.

Subject: [Help] How to make the transition from libwww-perl-0.4 to perl-5.03

Hi,

 I am having problems with a product which makes use of libwww-perl-0.4,
 and seeing that my system has perl4.036 and perl5, it appears that
 libwww-perl-0.4 will not work with perl4.036 as sys/socket.ph is not there.
 In anycase all I want to do is change the perl scripts which make the
 following request

require "www.pl";
require "wwwurl.pl";
require "wwwerror.pl";

 to an equivalent requirement from the perl5 version of libwww.

 So the question is simply put

 [Q] Is there a one to one mapping for the above perl4 scripts
     included as a package in libwww-perl-5.03 ?

 The product I am trying to use is WebOOGL, which relies on libwwww

 [Q] Has anyone modified the perl scripts of WebOOGL to make use of
     libwww-5.03 ?

 Any help will be appreciated. Many thanks.

 Tarang
