To change the window background color, see the "Inspect" menu entry
on the main panel, and choose "Camera". Press the "[CB] Background Color"
button on the Cameras panel.

The color picker you get looks different from that in the geomview 1.5
manual, but it should be pretty clear how it works. To get a color other
than black/gray/white, adjust the "S" (saturation) slider to something
nonzero, or press the button labeled HSV to switch to red/green/blue sliders.

If you get the latest geomview distribution -- from our web page, or
  ftp://geom.umn.edu/pub/software/geomview/geomview-1.6.1-XXX.tar.gz
where XXX is one of src, sgi, sun4, solaris, linux, etc. -- it will
include an up-to-date manual. The functionality is nearly the same as
in the 1.5 manual, though the panels look different, and some of the
controls have moved around.
