Do you mean an image from geomview?
If so, there are a couple of ways, depending on the version of geomview you've
got, and the kind of machine you're using.

Under older (pre-1.6.1) versions of geomview, only the SGI version had an
"SGI snapshot" option under the "Save" menu. It would save whatever was
currently shown in the graphics window into an SGI-format image file.
The SGI program "tops" could convert this to postscript; you could also
pick up one of the generic image conversion packages, like ImageMagick,
from the net; it can also convert an SGI image file directly into Postscript.
You could invoke this from the command language, too, using a command like
  (snapshot Camera image1.sgi)

In the current geomview-1.6.1 release, all versions have ways of taking
snapshots in at least PPM (another common image format) and Postscript forms.
The Postscript driver produces nice sharp output, good for printing, but
can fail dramatically in hidden-surface removal; you just have to try it
to see whether it gives a good likeness of what you see on the screen.
Or, you could save in PPM format, and again use an image-conversion package
like ImageMagick to create Postscript.

If you'd like more information, let us know.
