Sigh, this is a problem, though maybe not quite a bug.  You need to switch
to smooth-shaded mode.

If you select smooth shading, then geomview uses per-vertex normals --
the ones specified with the NOFF format -- and I think it does what you'd
expect.

But when flat shading is selected, it uses per-face normals -- which
you didn't (and can't!) specify.  It computes them itself from the
face coordinates, and there's no way to override this and make it
interpolate from the vertex normals or something.


There seems to be a real bug in the GL version, where "draw normals"
always draws the per-face normals even in smooth-shaded mode.  It ought to
draw whichever normal-vectors it uses for shading.  The OpenGL version
does this correctly.
