Re: geomview

Hi,

I tried to write try.c as Stuart suggested and I got
the same output as you got:
/usr/lib/libc.a(mp_def.o): definition of external small data _us_rsthread_stdio

It seems like something in our environment is different
from yours, though I can not figure out what (4.0.4 system).
There are two things that do not work for me (and might be
the symptoms for the same problem):

1. As you know, I get
	Undefined:
	_us_rsthread_stdio
   when trying to link trigrp.

2. When I try to run geomview, it runs perfectly well.
But when I try to run it from dbx, I fail because
it can not find the symbol table.
And sure enough, when I check nm on geomview, it says
that there is no symbol table.
This is strange because everything is compiled and linked
   with -g.

Another thing that might be of help is that in order for cc
to work for me I have to "setenv SGI_CC -cckr". Otherwise
I get compilation errors that have to do with prototyping.
Do you have to do the same?

Any ideas?

thanks, Ayellet
