Colors: you can color whole objects by dragging colors from the color wheel, not into the Geomview graphics window, but into the "Faces" color well on the Inspector panel. slice.gv: It seems to work here on some machines, not on others. It's probably related to the Next display server running out of memory somehow, since the windows are so large. It seems to work around the problem if you edit slice.gv and delete or comment out all the lines mentioning "window", e.g.: # (window default { position 550 1448 286 1185 }) and then manually stretch the windows out to a reasonable size. Sigh. Labelling figures: there's no way to do this in Geomview. You could use Grab (/NextApps/Grab.app) to take a picture of a window, then use a drawing program (/NextApps/Draw.app) to draw on top of the grabbed image. (Specifically: get a picture you like in a geomview window. Start Grab. Pick Grab->Selection. Drag the cursor across the contents of the geomview window; a new window appears with a copy of the image. Click on that window, and Edit->Copy (command-c). Start /NextApps/Draw.app, and paste into its window.) Stuart
