[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] geomview installation script
Since I'm going to have to install geomview quickly Monday morning on a strange machine, I decided to practice today. I got the sgi binary distribution, loaded it onto my indigo 2, and ran ./install, which said (among other things) This script is running in the directory . All relative pathnames you enter will be relative to this directory. It would be much more helpful to give that directory name in a different form :-)! Luckily, I had just run 'pwd' myself. -John PS It would also be helpful if install's question 2 (about BINDIR) made it easy to keep the executables where they are. I don't have permission to put things in /usr/local/bin, but I don't know if I'm supposed to type a relative name, a name including "$GEOMVIEW" or a full name.
