Thanks for the report.

We don't (yet) have a working copy of hp-ux cc here, so can't try this 
ourselves, but...

If you have a decent debugger (better than adb), can you try setting a
breakpoint in XtAppErrorMsg(), which prints that error, and
getting a stack backtrace? That should at least indicate which widget
it's really trying to create.  (Yes, "dsm" seems bogus.)
