[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: [Update REQ 5026]: questions about geomview installation
Dear Hans, I am pleased to hear of your continued interest in Geomview. You can obtain Geomview via anonymous ftp from geom.umn.edu. We slightly changed our ftp directory structure since the AMS Notices article appeared. The various versions of Geomview are now in the subdirectory pub/software/geomview. The SGI binary version is geomview-sgi.tar.Z. If you want the full source code version, you could get geomview-src.tar.Z. (The previous message told you to get files like "geomview-1.4.3-sgi.tar.Z", but names like "geomview-sgi.tar.Z" are better to use. The symbolic names are actually links which always point to the latest version of Geomview. Right now, the two names are interchangable. Several months in the future, the 1.4.3 version may be obsolete but "geomview-sgi.tar.Z" will point to the newest version.) Let us know if you have any further questions. Regards, Tamara Munzner ((555) 555-5555 munzner at geom.umn.edu The Geometry Center
