[ REQ 5254]: files that geomview makes

I have been using a version of Ginsu for the Next (I got it last year  
from Dan--it is not in the oficial release).

I am using it in my calculus class--we have student working in a lab  
on a network.


The problem: when Ginsu makes files, it stores them in /tmp.  There  
is no automatic clean up of these files, so they are just left there.

So the problem is that when the NEXT student tries to use Ginsu, they  
cannot--Gunsu tries to open these files in /tmp, finds the there with  
the previous student's permissions; Ginsu finding itself rebuked  
dies.

(Actually the way we have things se up, each machine has its own  
/tmp--so student could switch to a ``clean machine'' and have Ginsu  
work.  But we only have 5 color machines)

Fix....Suppose the user's name is ralph, I think one should create  
subdirectory ralph and store all this stuff in /tmp/ralph.

(I have a solution at the moment--a one line script that each student  
is to run before logging out that cleans up these files.
Nonetheless this is still a hassle since some students neglect to do  
this.)


P.S.  I have not yet checked this out--I will on Monday--but I think  
I might have a similar problem with use of Mathematica--I just  
happened to look on my machine and I have:
